Anywhere Gym is about using the time and space you have, to get moving and get fit. If your #1 excuse is not enough time because of the kids, then these mini “work outs” are for you.
Because the goal is to achieve at least 60 minutes of exercise a day, these effective but fun exercises are great for breaking down into 10-15 minute workouts throughout the day:

March Madness has been going strong with the NCAA tournament. It has been going well for Anywhere Gym as well. It has a different meaning for us over here. While teams are increasing their intensity to win the tournament, we are increasing our intensity by adding workouts through the month of March.
Did you make a resolution in January for the New Year? If you did, you may be like most people. This means that you now are starting to forget about that resolution or really starting to slack off. Unfortunately this happens way too often. I feel that one reason this happens is that it is very hard to keep ourselves accountable. If we could keep ourselves accountable we would probably never need to make resolutions in the first place.
This is an exciting time for Anywhere Gym. We are opening a second location within the Real Fit 4 Life building. The new location is in the Bressi Ranch area of Carlsbad. We will have a private studio for all of your personal training needs. The biggest benefit of our new location is that we will have a great new area for indoor boot camps. We will be the only indoor boot camp in all of Carlsbad. This will allow us to have more variety of exercises that we can perform and accommodate larger groups while not having to worry about the elements of the outdoors.
Summer time can bring more traveling into our schedules. Whether it is a weekend trip to see family or finally taking that week long getaway you have been looking forward to for so long. This can also be on top of all the traveling that you do for work. Anything that takes us away from home and ultimately out of our normal schedules and routines, can really throw us off of our health and wellness goals. What can be done to be sure we can stick to our goals when we travel? The most important thing to do in order to stick anything we do in life is to plan ahead. Like the saying goes "If you fail to plan, you can plan to fail". This really does say it all. This is also easier said than done. Planning can be time consuming and a bit of a hassle if you are not use to doing it. I also know that if you think back to anything you have ever planned a head for, you probably accomplished it with overall success. Eating healthy while traveling is no different. When we travel we do not need to eat at every truck stop or fast food joint we pass. We do not need to eat at the airport food court before we take off. When we get to our destination we do not need to eat out at a restaurant for every meal. If you do not do these things at home, why would you do them when you travel? (If you do these things at home, then we have way bigger problems to discuss!)
Summer is here and that means swimsuits. Everybody wants to look their best during this time of the year, where we wear the least amount of clothes. This is also the time of the year where most of the people want to "tone up".
What does "tone up" even mean? Everybody seems to have their own definition on what it means to them. It is based on what their individual goals. Being toned is more about a look, than anything else. It means that you want the look of more muscle definition. To me, this means losing body fat. In order to look more muscular you need to decrease the amount of body fat that surrounds the muscle.
Losing body fat is not the same as losing weight. You will most likely see the number on the scale go down but that is not the only way a body fat loss should be measured. To get an accurate count you will need to measure your body fat separately. Unfortunately, when we lose weight we can lose muscle mass as well. We want to avoid this as much as possible. This is due to the fact that the more muscle mass we have, the more calories we burn in a day. While somebody is losing body fat, the other big goal is to maintain as much muscle mass as possible. If you can maintain this muscle mass your body will be much more efficient. You will reach and maintain your weight loss goal much easier.
Have you ever been curious about what types of activities burn the most calories? It is a good thing to know how many calories you burn, so you can be most efficient with your time. October is the beginning of the holiday season and the holidays end with the New Year. These months are where most Americans put on a significant amount of weight. This is the time of the year to be sure that our nutrition and exercise stays on track. Check out these activities and decide where to spend your time.
Our daily lives can be very busy. Some days are so busy, we don't have enough time to complete everything we would like. There are many things we feel we "need" to do. Such as, need to finish some work, need to mow the lawn, need to take the car in for an oil change and need to sign the kids up for soccer.
What we really "need" to do is take care of ourselves. This seems to be the one thing we push to the bottom of the list. If we are not in top physical condition, then we will never be able to finish our "to do" lists. We will be too run down to even get to those things. Why do we take care of other things and other people but do not take care of ourselves? When I ask people this question, they usually tell me they do not have enough time. This is the reason that people justify in their heads and causes them to never have time to work on themselves
